PRIME VIDEO PLAYBACK

When I joined Prime Video, not only was the playback experience broken up and owned by various design leaders but it was also a fragmented experience between clients. I saw an opportunity to improve the user experience by creating a scalable framework and so I pitched a consolidation of UX leadership which was approved. Since then, we have launched entirely new players on living room, mobile and web that all use a common framework for core playback, discovery and augmentation. This has greatly improved metrics, reduced overhead and has enabled us to iterate and launch new features must faster.
